With over 24 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Rhys has built a reputation as a seasoned…something, his wife would say, a seasoned annoyance.
Rhys owns two veterinary practices in Vancouver, Canada, but in 2020, when he founded Innovative Veterinary Management Solutions, he indeed found his passion. Rhys realized that the industry desperately needed fresh thinking and set out to shake things up. With a keen interest in workplace culture and a knack for business strategy, Rhys is always looking for ways to think outside the box or even inside the box; who knows? He's always looking to surprise us.
Rhys indulges in his love for coffee and soccer when he's not busy running his practices. A self-proclaimed coffee snob, Rhys also has a fierce loyalty to his beloved Liverpool Football Club and will defend them to the death if someone has more bad things to say about them than he does. He's also a bit of a black sheep, asks his family, and is a self-appointed entertainer who will bring a smile to any room he enters unless it's a Liverpool match; in that case, don't talk to him. When Rhys isn't working, you can find him on his Indian motorcycle with his go-bag, running away from his wife and kids, or on the soccer field coaching or playing. But no matter where he is, one thing is sure: Rhys always brings the fun. Rhys is not just a business owner; he's a culture creator, coffee connoisseur, soccer fanatic, and, most importantly, a people person. He's always looking for ways to improve his employees' lives, develop his players, and make the workplace a happier place.
